Projektdetaljer
Beskrivelse
This project studies economic evolution as a process of transformation. Transformation can be decomposed into a process of selection (based on given characteristics) and learning/innovation (the introduction of new characteristics).
Methods and data
The basic method is the decomposition of change in aggregates of longitudinal micro data by means of Price´s equation. The basic data are the full and linkable data for their populations of persons and firms in Denmark (and, potentially, other Nordic countries). For Denmark, these data couples the IDA database and the FIRM database.
