Beskrivelse

Methods for automatic sleep analysis and diagnosis have been point of focus for some years now. One of the outcomes of this was the development of a now commercialized sleep analyzer system. The department is equipped with a sleep lab with facilities for digital polygraphic recordings and analysis. This laboratory is solely used for research. Methods for analysis of the sleep microstructure have been developed and used in analysis of the sleep microstructure in chronic pain disorders. At present experimental research is done in the effort to establish knowledge of the interaction between sleep and cardiovascular parameters. The department is an associate partner in the EU-project SIESTA. The database and algorithms from this project has now been licensed to an Austrian based company for further exploitation.
