Projektdetaljer
Beskrivelse
Adipose tissue-derived stem cells have a capacity to differentiate into cardiomyocytes and endothelial cells, in addition to other cell types. In the project we aim to elucidate whether the adipose stem cells possess potential to be used in the clinical treatment of ischemic heart disease. The isolation, propagation, and differentiation potential of the stem cells will be optimized and the effect of reducing the oxygen tension during growth and differentiation will be characterized. This project is carried out in close collaboration with Aalborg Hospital (Assoc. Prof. O. Frøbert). Person involved: T. Fink.
