<strong>Building Models and Building Modelling</strong>

This project includes basic issues regarding modelling of buildings, especially modelling and representation of information about buildings and related to buildings. (Internationally this is also termed BIM, Building Information Modelling.) This research is partly related to developments of an international standard (IFC - Industry Foundation Classes) for representation of building models.

In addition, substantial research has bee carried out about creation and use of classification systems in the building construction industry.

Based on IFC, a number of software products will be developed in order to illustrate the potentials of building models.
