    Beskrivelse

The purpose of the project is to explore the early innovative phases of product development in industrial enterprises. Recognizing the scattered picture of different research efforts and research approaches the project aims at drawing more holistic pictures of the state of the art research within product innovation. The initial research questions are: ? Which different research paradigms exist within the area of product innovation? ? Which parameters characterize these research paradigms? ? How do these paradigms reflect practical industrial product innovation? Furthermore, the project aims at establishing an international network of research groups with a broad diversity of research approaches within the particular research area. The project group include participants from the following organizations: Center for Industrial Production, Aalborg University; Department of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark; Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Management, Technical University of Denmark; Department of Operations Management, Copenhagen Business School; Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark; Department of Marketing, University of Southern Denmark; Department of Architecture and Design, Aalborg University; Department of Psychology, University of Copenhagen; Confederation of Danish Industries; Danish Technological Institute Contact persons: Poul Kyvsgaard Hansen, CIP, Tim McAloon, DTU, Christian Clausen, DTU, Allan Hansen, Copenhagen Business School Project duration: 2001 to 2004.
