Abstrakt
By applying the Bergeron line model in time-domain, a novel model recognition -based current differential protection (MRCDP) principle is proposed in this paper. Based on the fault network differences, the differential models for both the internal and external fault component networks are built respectively. For a kind of fault, the sampled fault data satisfies the corresponding differential model, namely, fault states can be distinguished by recognizing the correlation between the fault data and the benchmark model. Besides, the full-frequency fault information in the time-domain is applied to compute the model error, which enhances the adaptability of the proposed algorithm to the fault transient. Meanwhile, the proposed method performs good ability to resist the influence of the fault resistance and is unaffected by the capacitive current. Simulation results of both the over-head-line (OHL) and underground cable (UC) -based transmission systems verify the effectiveness and merits of the relay principle.
