Abstract

This is a case study describing the developmental process of a woman called Lise. She wanted to develop and change, but could not use language therapeutically. This is why she was refered to music therapy. In the follow-up session three months after termination of the therapt, she expressed that the musical interaction and playing had made it possible for her to express herself. The music, and the interaction in the music with me as her therapist, had been a key factor in the development of her ability to communicate and interact. In this case study, I shall focus on the way her transference relationship with me emerged in the relationship both within and outside the musical context, and how it changed
