Beyond the Canvas - ways to build better business model frameworks

This paper seeks to elaborate on the need for comparable data on business models and how this can be achieved through alterations of existing frameworks. Based on empirical testing and findings, the paper provides new insights into different factors, which ultimately require attention in order to obtain necessary advancements and hopefully provide inspiration to build alternative business model frameworks and thereby enhance theoretical constructs.
