Abstract
The proliferation of cryptocurrency investment scams has become a pressing concern in recent times. In response to this challenge, this research paper introduces ‘CincoCrypto,’ a novel and innovative solution designed to provide investors with a cost-free, user-friendly, and open-source tool for cryptocurrency price forecasting. CincoCrypto leverages four Machine Learning models, trained on financial data from up to five prominent cryptocurrencies, enabling it to predict the closing prices in United States Dollars for the subsequent day. The study primarily concentrates on one-year datasets derived from the world’s top five cryptocurrencies by global market capitalization: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, Binance Coin, and USD Coin. Our findings indicate the most promising results for Ethereum, with the Convolutional Neural Network model emerging as the most accurate among the four models, while the Space Vector Regression model demonstrates superior computational performance. This research offers valuable insights into the potential applications of Machine Learning in mitigating cryptocurrency investment risks and improving market predictions.
