Abstract

In this paper, we explore the use of a Virtual Reality (VR) environment designed for special education teachers to enhance the social skills of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The effectiveness of this tool was preliminarily evaluated by European teachers during a Learning, Teaching, and Training Event under the Erasmus+ GAMESS project. Initial feedback from the participants, teachers from multiple European countries, indicates a positive attitude towards integrating VR in education, though some reservations about technology use were noted. The
findings suggest that VR could be a supportive tool in special education for enhancing learning experiences and social interaction among autistic children
