Abstract
The basic thesis of my considerations in this article is that powerlessness is the experience of a social disease. The concepts of power and powerlessness are understood set against the background of an effort to clarify if it makes sense to talk about socially caused disease or disorder. A Wittgenstein, Brecht and Nørreklit inspired method for empowering people to realise a good life called Philosophical Staging is suggested. Some workshop recommendations on how to experiment with empowering and disempowering experiences conclude the article.
