Abstract

To achieve the ambitious climate goals of the Paris agreement [1] , major revisions of the global energy system are needed. Energy system modeling is, however, a complicated, task subject to large uncertainty [2]. Decision-makers have to consider a multitude of aspects including financial, political, and technical constraints. To aid decision-makers, energy system models are commonly used to study possible future scenarios [3].
