Abstract

Among various solutions, smart IT based solutions are on top of the list to monitor and manage the distribution grid. In this context, the EU project Net2DG proposes a solution in terms of an ICT infrastructure based software that enables smart grid applications to function on top of a set of aggregated data sources. As a part of Net2DG project, two field tests: one in Denmark and one in Germany, and a laboratory setup has been setup and used to demonstrate feasibility of using ICT in context of executing several different useful smart grid applications. This paper presents the main aspects, results and experiences of the Danish field test.
