Abstract

The paper is based on data and results obtained during the MAST ll project entitled "Full Scale Dynamic Load Monitoring of Rubble Mound Breakwaters". The main part of this project has been exploitation of a fully instrumented rubble mound breakwaters located in the outer harbour of Zeebrugge, Belgium and conduction of attaining physical model tests at three different scales. This approach of looking into the hydraulic response of a rubble mound breakwater makes the project unique world-wide.
