Lampedusa a Sant Pauli

At the main demonstration organized for ‘Lampedusa in Hamburg’ on November 2nd in Hamburg Mitten, more than 10,000 people showed up. This event was followed by several other public initiatives and gatherings, joined by thousands of people and clearly showing how the violation of fundamental civic rights, as the right to a decent living, a work and a future can mobilize large sectors of society and of the public opinion, notwithstanding political positions, diversity of opinions, levels of activism and views on immigration and integration.
