    Abstract

    Based on a completed study (2018), this abstract focus on what assessment and grades means to students’ learning orientations, their ways of participating in school and the learning culture in upper secondary education programs. The objective of the study is to investigate key issues such as: How do the students understand the meaning of assessment and grades? What kind of feedback engage the students? What are significant to the students in relation to their education and learning? What characterizes the learning culture in the schools?
