Abstract
High quality teaching should be based on scientific research and scholarly reflection. Higher education teaching and learning research can provide a valuable source of information here, because it connects theory and practice. This article describes the changing landscape of publication outlets and practices in higher education teaching and learning research in Germany; it asks: who are the actors, and which strategies do they follow?
