Abstract
This report draws on the material gathered in WP 3,4, 5 and 6 to investigate the connections between territorial cohesion and social investment in the Danish case. The first part concerns the role patterns of urbanization and inequality have for territorial cohesion in the three case areas: Aarhus, Horsens and Lemvig. How local territorial cohesion initiatives are related to narratives of territorial problems and advantages, and how the ability to mobilize territorial capital in the local government of the three case areas depends on the type and degree of collective efficacy. The second part of the report investigates the territorial aspects of social investment policies for childcare for pre-school children, vocational educational training and active labour market policies. The third part of the report draws these insights together investigating how territorial cohesion relates to social investment and what we can learn from the Danish case.
