Abstract
This paper compares calculation results obtained with the Mohr-Coulomb and Drucker-Prager material models. The models are implemented in a finite element code and the exact models are used, i.e. no rounding of yield surface corners or apices is performed. Results for both 2D and 3D calculations are compared both with respect to bearing capacities and displacements. It is found that results from the two models have large differences.
