Optimum Size of Solar Inverter for a Grid Connected Solar Based Energy Sources in Pakistan

The output of solar array depends upon the irradiance and ambient temperature data
of the site where it is utilized, As the PV array is designed under standard test
conditions, to achieve maximum output from PV system, the system must be
optimized. The aim of this paper is to optimize the inverter sizing ratio for Sindh
Pakistan which is the ratio of PV array rated power to inverter rated power. For
achieving this task an iterative method is used in MATLAB. The annual average
irradiance and ambient temperature data of Nawabshah Sindh Pakistan is used to
develop the model of PV array and inverter output power.
