Abstract

Highlights
•Energy renovations of houses in moderate climates increase overheating risk.
•Critical measures are the floor insulation and the improvement of the airtightness.
•Decrease of the g value of windows diminishes the intensity and the period of it.
•Static method of assessment shows higher risk compare to the dynamic method.
•Ranking capabilities of overheating indices and average temperatures are analogous.
