N2 - The international conference Humanities Between Constructivism and Biologism, held at the University of Copenhagen in September 2010, was the forum for an exciting debate between Steve Fuller (Warwick), Ronald Schleifer (Oklahoma), Robert Markley (Illinois) and other scholars. The debate took place at the final session and conveys a number of central messages from the conference, which aim was to encourage interdisciplinarity by bringing together scholars from different humanist disciplines to offer their views on existing practices and ideas regarding the relationship between science and the humanities.
