Abstract
Introduction A perennial conversation in interaction design is who has the power to make design decisions: The paying customer? The designers themselves? What role do future users play? These questions are particularly salient in design for sustainability. The effects of climate change are both global and local. Individual actions have little impact, yet organizational and societal changes require the political support and active participation of individuals. Everyone has a stake - whether they believe it or not.
