Abstract

This presentation takes its departure in empirical data that was collected over a lengthy period of time (4 months) in relation to an event arranged by the project “Power Users of Technology”. The event itself was a symposium taking place in Costa Rica, where teams of young “power users of technology” were brought to work for three days on solving complex problems. I was connected as a researcher and facilitator for the so-called Nordic Team, who was to address the open-ended problem of “How to reduce poverty in the world through the use of technology”; their final results were presented to the 150 adults from business, education and research, who attended the symposium as observers, researchers, presenters and facilitators.
