Abstract
The written discussion of a problem case is one of several possible exams in the context of case-based learning arrangements. It is particularly suitable as proof of performance in Problem-Based Learning (PBL). The students write up the discussion and research work on an authentic problem individually or in groups. Together with a feedback from the lecturers, this work is considered an alternative to a traditional performance assessment (e.g. written exam).
