Biomechanical models can support the comfort evaluation and accelerate the development process of vehicles significantly. Pre-conditions are a suitable model for the targeted application and a method to derive a meaningful comfort assessment from the model output. Several applications of the Ford proprietary AnyBody Car-Driver-Model are shown. A comfort assessment using the Ford muscle-fatigue model widens the scope of applications towards cases with low activation levels and long duration which are very typical while driving a car.
