Abstrakt
In this article the state of the art research for online fault location on cross-bonded transmission level cables is presented. The article is focused on the difficulties in
using the algorithms developed for OHL-systems and distribution cables directly on cross-bonded transmission cables. Impedance based methods, methods based
on solving the line differential equations, methods based on traveling wave methods and methods based on artificial intelligence networks are presented and discussed.
