Abstract

This chapter explores some of the commonalities and differences to be found between Cognitive Archaeology and Cultural Psychology. Several examples are provided, including a brief analysis of the so-called Laughing Pregnant Grandmother terracotta figurine. Similarities with conceptual issues, the idea of “digging,” as well as the possibility of exploring phenomena well above ground are all imaginatively explored. In close, considerations of architecture and art are offered as possible avenues for meaningful interdisciplinary efforts to come.
