Abstract

It is the aim of this work to study experimentally and theoretically a vertical monopole on a rotationally symmetric soft surface through the employment of various calculation methods when the soft disk is realized by corrugations and different material loadings. Radiation pattern is calculated by the MM exhibiting equivalent currents on all material boundaries, referred to as ECM, and by MM with an IBM. In addition, UTD and ITD are considered, calculated results are compared with the measured results. Properties of the calculation methods and realization technologies are discussed.
