Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the results from a research project concerning vibrational based inspection of a 20 meter high steel mast containing well defined damages. Introductory analyses dealing with among other things evaluation of potential damage indicators and determination of acceptable damage levels are described. The modal parameters of the mast are determined by using ARMA-models on signals from wind induced response of the mast. Two different damage detection methods are tested, evaluated and compared.
