Abstract
This paper is a presentation of my research on how exploited migrant workers are victimized in their meeting with different actors and officials in the expanding Danish policy field of 'human trafficking to forced labour'. I examine what discourses officials draw on in order to create 'the ideal victim' and what consequences this may have for the migrant workers in question. Particularly i focus on the labour union and how their entry into the policy field of human trafficking may transform the ideal worker into the ideal victim. Drawing on an empirical example, i discuss the processes of 'unionizing human trafficking'.
