Comparison of Science-Based frameworks for risk-Informed decision Support across life-Science and engineering disciplines

Activity: Talks and presentationsConference presentations

The paper identifies and discusses present best practices on science-based frameworks for risk-informed decision support across life science and engineering disciplines, focusing on the following: (i) understanding of risk as a concept, risk metrics, the link between risk and sustainability; (ii) probabilistic and deterministic interpretations of uncertainty; (iii) guidelines for developing systems representation; (iv) methods of risk analysis, assessment and management; (v) interface between risk information and decision making; (vi) risk acceptance; and (vii) risk communication.
