I have organised the Opening ceremony of CREATE project at Aalborg University Business School (AAUBS) in collaboration with my research colleagues Mette Vinther Larsen from AAUBS and Shafiul Alam from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Bangladesh.The kick-off programme was simultaneously held at AUST, Dhaka and linked with AAUBS via ZOOM. The programme was inaugurated by Head of AAUBS professor Christian Nielsen with a key-Note speech by Professor Gabriel Benito from BI Norwegian Business School.
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at AAU Professor Rasmus Antoft, Councillor of Aalborg Kommune MortenThiessen, Head of International Business Research Group at AAUBS Professor Svetla Marinova, Danish Fashion and Textile’s CEO Thomas Klausen, BGMEA president Faruque Hasan, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology(AUST) Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Director of Institute of Business Administration (Dhaka University) Professor Mohammad A Momen, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark H.E. Allama Siddiki, and Local project coordinator professor Muhammad Amanullah spoke in the opening ceremony.
The researchers from the CREATE project also spoke on different dimensions of circular economy transitions that they are going to focus on in their research; among them Professor Mushtaq Khan from SOAS University of London, Professor Matthew Allen and Dr. Abu Sadat from Manchester Metropolitan University, Professor Mette Vinther Larsen and Asso. Professor Jonas Eduardsen from AAUBS, Professor Olav Jull Sørensen from Access2Innovation, Dr. Shobod Deba Nath and Dr. Melita Mehjabeen from Dhaka University, Professor Imranul Hoque, Professor Shafiul Alam, Dr. Naznin Sultana Chaity and Dr. Abdur Rahman from AUST, and Mr. Monower Hossain together with Ms Vidiya Khan from BGMEA attended and spoke in the programme.
I concluded the session and am looking forward to leading the project for the next five years.
