the agenda for Zoom Meeting #4 will be:“In view of the present international situation, characterised by the Covid-19 pandemic and the US-China confrontation, how can Chinese and European scholars continue, dialogue and exchange?"
The scholars are asked to suggest optimistic but also practical and realistic ideas and solutions.
Analysis and criticism of national governments and international organisations are not asked for at this moment. On this huge task historians will later do their work and analyse the causes and background for the present predicament and not easy international situation.
The focus of the DIALOGUE 2021 ZOOM MEETINGS shall be to keep on a dialogue. Not for the dialogue itself but to maintain a platform where Chinese and European scholars with an open mind can reflect on ways and methods for a continued co-operation and exchange between Chinese and European scholars.”
Zoom Meeting #4 will allow more room for dialogue. Each scholar will be allocated 4 minutes each for a first comment. Thereafter, the floor will be open exchange and dialogue.
