The course will concentrate on theory and practice for advanced experimental methods of fluid dynamics:

Why and how to do an experiment
Theory and hands-on experience with:
Hot-wire measurements
Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV)
Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)
Introduction to other optical techniques
Signal analysis, statistics and error analysis
Data analysis including techniques like Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD)
