    This course aims to give research students an advanced and critical introduction to globalisation and discuss the various aspects most commonly associated with globalisation. The course presents a broad understanding of globalisation covering the way that the phenomenon is discussed in a number of different disciplines across the social sciences and humanities. In particular, the course will stress theoretical and methodological aspects of the globalisation phenomenon. By doing this, the course also questions whether globalisation is an appropriate description of current processes of change.
