Mission
The Basque Government created Ikerbasque, a Foundation that primarily aims to help develop scientific research in the Basque Country by attracting researchers and helping them establish themselves.
Mission: To reinforce the system of science in the Basque Country, consolidating it as a European reference point for excellence in the field of research.
Objectives:
■To reinforce the Basque system of science, attracting scientists from other countries.
■To develop a Basque system of science through the creation of Basque Excellence Research Centers.
■To promote the Basque Country as a benchmark in research.
