Activity: Talks and presentations › Guest lecturers
Description
Invited departmental lecture at Research Programme for Medicine, Culture and Society, University of Copenhagen
In this presentation, Prof. David Budtz Pedersen will explore different forms of cross-disciplinary collaboration and present lessons learned from the literature and evaluation of team science. Whether we are talking about inter-, multi-, trans- or anti-disciplinary knowledge, the core of collaboration is interaction and integration of different epistemologies and ontologies. Embedding skills and building capacity to collaborate and integrate diverse branches of knowledge into a consistent research project can be challenging. Drawing on resent studies of interdisciplinary science, the presentation examines best practices for funding, leading and rewarding interdisciplinary team science with a special focus on early-career researchers.
