Description

Elected chairman (2001-03 and 2003-05) of the management committee of the ESF/COST action Modelling Real Property Transactions, the members of which came from university departments in 11 EU countries. -

Objective of the project was to assess the costs of transactions in real estate, e.g. the purchase of units of real property, mortgaging, and the identification and change of property units through cadastral processes. The formalization process applied knowledge engineering approaches, aiming at the eliciting of core cadastral and legal ontologies.  -
