    Description

Proactive Review is a process for employees to solve problems and to innovate solutions that fits to the workplace. Proactive Review is based on the participants’ individual experiences and collaborative idea generation, and it is an inexpensive, simple, and systematic process that enables the participants to discuss a shared past and create an improved future. The participants in a Proactive Review have solved a task together in which they faced problems that need to be solved. A manager has asked them to solve the issues, and a trained facilitator leads the participants through seven open questions within a given time slot, normally three hours. Collaboratively, the participants create a common understanding of the past, innovate solutions to issues, and decide what to act upon and how. Proactive Reviews may involve employees at any level to develop products, services, systems or work processes. Ditte Kolbaek will present her work on Proactive Review in Oracle, where she implemented the process in more than 30 countries and developed an educational design for running Proactive Reviews online in order to meet the requirement for problem solving in geographical dispersed teams.
