    Can we take citizen Science to the Classroom and strengthen the synergies between citizen science and formal education at school? And can idea be applied to the learning about food and nutrition? This paper presents insights from the development of the FoodScapeLab (FSL) at AAU and the application of smart devices for measuring behaviour. It presents experiences from taking the lab based learning into the street, into the classroom and finally into the Food Sense & Science BoxTown project in Aalborg. The paper reports on some of the findings regarding the dynamics & patterns of engagement found in the development of the social learning space of the program
