Description
Presentation offers a brief overview of Bangladeshi Institutions and garments industry conditions, and presents how Bangladeshi garment companies encounter challenges in relation to production capability, product development capability and sustainability (including OHS) capability development from the perspective of foreign buyer's business model, governance, and suppliers organisational condition. The presentation puts emphasis on the buyer-suppliers relational condition at the priority and thus offers some specific strategies that both foreign buyers and supplier-firms in Bangladesh should consider in order to improve suppliers capability; instead of focusing on suppliers productivity and price dominated transaction only, which are the common phenomena.Period | 8 Jan 2019 |
