Participation on UTALKS “The role of REDINTUR in the context of the empowerment ofwomen) organised by Universidad Técnico Particular de Loja (UTPL) , Turistech & RedinTur.
Throughout my presentation, I exposed the value of academic research for the development of women empowerment networks and the inquiry for more academic research within this field of studies. Nevertheless I disseminate the AAU research carried out by Patricia Nguyenova a Master in tourism student, who I had the honor to mentor through her thesis academic research.
In her academic research Patricia revolves the role a large network of indigenous Peruvian women who are united to empower, educate each other. By doing so they peer-to-peer building human capacity to overcome their current societal challenges in regards to; territorial management policies and governance, innovation, inequalities, power relations, etc.
