February 22nd, 2019 Arranged by ISDP (Sweden)*/UiT (Norway)*/LSE IDEAS (London)*/LSE CIS (London)* Under the ‘ECoHuCy Project and Research Group”* Working Package 4: Climate Change, Environmental Threats and Cybersecurity” Organizers: Sandra Cassotta & Christer Pursiainen Venue: Room 9.04, 9th Floor, Fawcett House (FAW) Clement's Inn Passage, London WC2A 2AZ London School of Economics and Political Science (London) Purpose of the Workshop This interdisciplinary workshop scrutinize the potential effects of the improvement, or of the interruption, of Critical Infrastructures (CI) related activities due to prevailing cybersecurity conditions or cyber-threats to the society, the environment, economy, culture, health, and/or to the security of the planet. Focus topics of the Workshop The geographical focus of the workshop is on the effects observable in the European High North/Arctic Region. The focus topics examine the interdependencies between CI, cybersecurity, and the physical and social context of everyday life. The focus topics seek to individualize which sustainability-enhancing responses exist or should be set-up. The link between CI and cybersecurity can be studied thought the sustainability lens by examining interrelations between norms, practices and material cultures including social conditions as well as how these are shaped by external influence.
