Researchers from Aarhus University Hospital have made significant progress towards finding a cure for HIV. Professor Ole Schmeltz Søgaard from the Department of Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University, the lead author of the study, states: "The study is one of the first placebo-controlled trials conducted on humans, where we have shown a way to boost the body's own ability to fight HIV - even when standard treatment is paused."
