Aalborg University is involved in the Green DC project, which aims to reduce power consumption and cool data centre servers in a CO2-neutral way. The project has developed a new condenser that sends surplus heat to the district heating network. Ali Shghar Enkeshafi, a technology developer from Aalborg University, states that the cooling technology is adapted to the servers and has the same efficiency and waste heat temperature as water cooling. Paw Mortensen, director and co-founder of Heatflow, praises the collaboration with Aalborg University and Energy Cluster Denmark: "We have seen a formula for how to achieve an innovation that makes a difference in a relatively short time."
