Green cement: Electric heating to contribute to climate neutrality

    Aalborg University is part of the international project ECem, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions in cement production through electric heating technologies. The project, funded by the Danish Innovation Fund, is led by Danish cement company FLSmidth and includes the Danish Institute of Technology, European Energy, Cementos Argos, and the Helmholtz Center Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR). The goal is to develop two different electric heating technologies. The project started in 2024 and will run for three and a half years. (Summary provided by Infomedia).
