According to a new study by the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB) and the Department of the Built Environment of Aalborg University (AAU-BUILD), the amount of plastic located on the bottom of the ocean has tripled over the course of the last twenty years.
