Description

Five engineering students at Aalborg University has scored top marks for their robotic milling project that uses the CAM software PowerMILL to control the process. The five mechanical engineering students have all received top marks 12 for their undergraduate project at Aalborg University's Department of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, AAU M-Tech. In the project, the students developed a prototype of a robot-based milling solution for BC Industri in Løkken, Denmark. The CAM software PowerMILL has been made available by Delcam Denmark, and has played a key role in the project. Professor Ole Madsen and Assistant Professor Simon Bøgh from AAU M-TECH have been supervisors on the project. About the reasons why the students have received top marks for their project, Ole Madsen explains that especially because they have managed to develop an almost industry ready solution from scratch.
