Second-choice schools report a surge in the number of students applying in the second round of admissions A record number of students trying to get into universities in Copenhagen and Århus have resulted in a surge of second-round applications to universities in Odense and Aalborg. The high number of applications to higher education institutions this year – 62,000 in all – led to a lot of rejections. Since the second round of applications began last month, the provincial universities have received a flood of applications.
